“I really enjoyed watching the vets during procedures, especially when they explained what they were doing and why. I also enjoyed learning how to chart the patients vitals when they are under anaesthesia, as well as just hanging around pets all day in the clinic. I still do want to pursue this career. I loved the community between the nurses and vets, as well as being able to identify a problem together and work towards a common goal of ensuring the best health possible for your patient. My advice to other students considering work experience would be to embrace the opportunity and learn as much as you can. Ask questions and complete tasks to the best of your ability.”
